Men's Circle

This program is focused on providing a space for Indigenous and non-indigenous men who are attempting to make positive changes in their lives as role models within the family unit and as catalysts of change within the community.

We strive to cultivate a place that men can come and find solace in brotherhood. We invite men who are working through the obstacles of life; be that personal losses from addiction, spirals of self esteem, grief due to the loss of loved ones connected with the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Men, and Children (MMIWMC), or other challenges.

  • Acceptance of  "we can't do this on our own"

  • Embracing masculinity in its true form

  • Removing the barriers that we ourselves place between us and vulnerability

  • Encouraging honest engagement

  • Sharing tools to reconcile us with simple acts of self respect

  • Healing and wellness based on contemporary and traditional healing strategies

  • Discussing alternative ways of confronting challenges

Sovereignty & Solidarity

  •  Taking radical responsibility for our experiences and our lives.

  • Creating a brotherhood that is  fiercely empowering and supportive of one and all

Proudly situated on Treaty 7 Territory in Southern Alberta, the traditional territories of the Blackfoot: home to the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the  Stoney Nakoda: Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley First Nations. We recognize that Calgary is situated on land adjacent to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River and that the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is "Mohkinstsis" which we now call the City of Calgary. The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
