Community Sweat Lodge

The Sweat Lodge is a powerful body, mind, and spirit cleansing and healing Ceremony.  It is also considered to be a rebirthing Ceremony as the Lodge itself represents the womb of Mother Earth. We enter the Lodge in a sacred way and offer prayers, tobacco, and gratitude to the Ancestor Stones that are there with love to help us heal.

Community Sweat Lodges are an all day gathering. Attendants arrive in the morning and a potluck styled meal is shared upon completion of the Lodge and restoration of the space.

It is strongly encouraged if you have not participated in a Sweat Lodge that you commit to a Sweat Lodge 101 evening. This ensures everyone is on the same page in regards to protocol, what to expect, and that there is a clear spiritual intention set for the day.

Please note these events will not be posted online, if you are interested in attending please contact us directly.

Proudly situated on Treaty 7 Territory in Southern Alberta, the traditional territories of the Blackfoot: home to the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the  Stoney Nakoda: Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Wesley First Nations. We recognize that Calgary is situated on land adjacent to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River and that the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is "Mohkinstsis" which we now call the City of Calgary. The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
